Meet Our Nurses
Laura Nero BSN, RN
Co-Owner
Laura obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Valdosta State University in Georgia. Upon graduation, she returned to her home state of Arizona to begin her nursing career at the Mayo Clinic. The majority of Laura's 10-years in Mayo was spent working on an inpatient Medical/Surgical/Palliative care unit. After deciding to transition from bedside nursing, Laura delighted in working for two years as a school nurse. Although working with children brought her much joy, she knew geriatrics was the population she wanted to serve. She was able to re-engage with seniors via concierge nursing and came to understand more fully the importance of patient advocacy. Laura feels strongly that all patients should have someone standing in their corner during some of their toughest and most vulnerable times. She takes great pride in her ability to collaborate and coordinate care in a complex healthcare system.

Lindsay Monroe BSN, RN
Lindsay obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Arizona State University. She then worked for Mayo Clinic Hospital for the next 13 years, specializing in care on the Neurology/ENT floor. Her vast nursing experience extends beyond the hospital into the community, where she has worked as a treatment experience nurse and also held the position of Director of Nursing for home health services.
Throughout Lindsay’s nursing career, her greatest passion has been advocating for her patients. Recognizing that the healthcare environment can be overwhelming for those outside the medical field, Lindsay excels in providing an additional layer of support. She ensures that nothing is overlooked and that both patients and their families fully understand their situations, enabling them to make well-informed decisions.
Maureen Calderwood
BSN, RN, BCPA
Co-Owner
Maureen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2009 and is a Board Certified Patient Advocate (BCPA). Over the last 15 years Maureen's nursing career has included 10 years of acute care experience at Mayo Clinic Hospital working on a Medical Surgical/Palliative care unit as well as in the outpatient setting. Throughout Maureen's nursing career she has been aware of the value of patient advocacy. In her most recent experience with concierge in-home nursing, Maureen witnessed and understood more fully the difference she can make in an individual's care. She has become committed in her role as an advocate, using her voice and knowledge of the healthcare system to benefit her patients. Maureen believes every person undergoing treatment for chronic or acute conditions should have access to an advocate. Her goal is to make this service a mainstream part of healthcare.
